  Excellent dropped kerk installed
I was very impressed with the team that came to install adropped kerb for the Church in St Budeaux.  The work was completed in a day inspite of having to remove concrete which unexpectedly was over 8" thick.  The men were cheerful, polite and worked extremel hard enjoying copious mugs of coffeee to keep them going.

  My whole driveway was ruined after burst pipe caused a very large underground flood. I chose County Roadways based on their proximity and their excellent reviews and they submitted a cost for my insurance. I wasn't disappointed as Andy and his team squeezed our job in before the xmas break, despite scheduling delays caused by the hideous weather. They were fast, clean and above all polite and professional. Nothing was too much. They even found the coolest area of freshly laid tarmac so our dog could get in and out of the house. Andy left the site clean and tidy but not until he'd given us care tips for fresh tarmac, which we will observe. The finished result looks excellent. I know some of my neighbours will be interested in speaking to Andy. I'd add photos but it is now dark outside.

  Dropped Kerb
Very easy to deal with and the whole process was straightforward.
County sorted out the council application and the work was carried out when they said it would happen. An all round good experience.

Patching is the process of filling potholes or excavated areas in the road surface. Quick repair of potholes helps control further deterioration and expensive resurfacing repairs.

Most pothole filling projects are carried out using a four-stage process:
The pothole is cleared of loose debris and any poor-quality tarmac left in the hole
A ‘tack coating’ of bitumen is applied to the hole’s inner surface for better adhesion
A hard-wearing tarmac mixture is poured into the hole then levelled with the road
Edges where the pothole repair meets the main surface are sealed with a bitumen mix

They are commonly caused by the shape of the underlying ground. After the road surfacing has been laid, it will soak up rain. When temperatures drop below zero the water freezes and expands causing damage to the surface. When thawed, it will cause the surface to break in a way that matches the underlying shape of the ground therefore creating a pothole.

Pothole repairs prevent further damage. Water is the root cause of potholes. Existing potholes let more water get in under the sub-surface and repairing a pothole now will prevent the formation of larger potholes and further damage down the line.
