What is a Resin Driveway?
A resin driveway provides you with a surface that looks like a loose gravel but without the problems associated with loose aggregate. It comes in a range of colours and textures depending on the chosen aggregate, all installed by our experts in resin driveways Seaton.

What's the difference between 'resin bound driveways' and 'resin bonded driveways' ?
Many people get confused with the difference between resin bonded and resin bound drives. County Roadways provides both types of surfacing and can advise you on the right choice of material for your Seaton property:
Resin Bond driveways are easy to apply and a cost effective surfacing technique. Clear resin is laid first, then the aggregate is pressed into the surface, completely covering the resin. Once cured, any excess stones are swept up. They provide a textured slip-resistant surface that is non permeable.
Resin Bound driveways take a little longer to apply, but have a number of benefits. Because the aggregate is mixed into the resin before application, which results in a smooth finish with no loose stones. The whole driveway is permeable and won't require extra drainage to be implemented.
We highly recommend a resin bound driveway for all Seaton properties, since it is a more reliable and long-lasting solution.

Excellent dropped kerk installed I was very impressed with the team that came to install adropped kerb for the Church in St Budeaux. The work was completed in a day inspite of having to remove concrete which unexpectedly was over 8" thick. The men were cheerful, polite and worked extremel hard enjoying copious mugs of coffeee to keep them going. I could not have asked for a better finished product nor team to complete the work. Thank YouPosted on Trustindex![]()

Outstanding service for drop curb We hired County Roadways to install a drop curb, and they did an outstanding job. The entire process was smooth, from ringing for a quote to finalising the invoice and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. Strongly recommend their services!Posted on Google![]()

My whole driveway was ruined after burst pipe caused a very large underground flood. I chose County Roadways based on their proximity and their excellent reviews and they submitted a cost for my insurance. I wasn't disappointed as Andy and his team squeezed our job in before the xmas break, despite scheduling delays caused by the hideous weather. They were fast, clean and above all polite and professional. Nothing was too much. They even found the coolest area of freshly laid tarmac so our dog could get in and out of the house. Andy left the site clean and tidy but not until he'd given us care tips for fresh tarmac, which we will observe. The finished result looks excellent. I know some of my neighbours will be interested in speaking to Andy. I'd add photos but it is now dark outside.Posted on Trustindex![]()

Dropped Kerb Very easy to deal with and the whole process was straightforward. County sorted out the council application and the work was carried out when they said it would happen. An all round good experience.

FAQs for Resin Driveways in Seaton
We say your new resin bound system is weed resistant rather than weed free. Whilst nothing will grow up through the surface, air born seedlings may land on top, causing a small amount of growth. We recommend applying a weed killer once or twice a year if this should happen. This depends on the type and condition of your existing driveway. It should be laid on an appropriate sub-base of either asphalt or concrete. The life expectancy of a resin bound driveway is over 15 years, but you could get more than this if it has been properly maintained. Costs will vary depending on the size of the drive, the materials used, and the time and labour costs involved. No two resin driveway projects are the same. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide a free site survey and quote and a timeframe for completion. Resin bound is an eco-friendly, highly porous solution for ground surfacing. It is a choice of decorative aggregates mixed with specialist resins then hand trowelled to give a smooth flat surface suitable for driveways, paths, and patios.
Resin bond is laid in a different manner to resin bound materials. It involves applying a layer of resin to the existing surface to which aggregates are then scattered on top of. This gives a non-porous surface, which has a coarser finish and leaves a certain amount of loose stone on the final surface.
